Becoming an Adagio pair - The Story.

Solenne and Maxime met in February 2009 while performing in "Les Arcs 2000" (France), an ice show directed by yves pierre Danton (performer in Holiday on ice, Le Lido, ...). Through January, Solenne, who was already a principal soloist, had been studying the basics of Adagio pair Skating with Ian Jenkins (professional world champion, performer in Europa Park, Le Lido, ...) and was looking for an opportunity to put her newly acquired skills (Detroiter, plazer, Neck Spin, One Ankle Spin, Foot Lift, Site Lift, Gainer, Upside Down lift) into proctice. Maxime, Though already performing as a principal pair skater in the show, was keen to find a more permanent pertner, so the two skaters decided to team up and see how they worked as a pair.

Shortly after pairing up, their individual talents landed them both contracts for Europa Park. Finding themselves employed on the same show again gave them the opportunuty to develop an Adagio act that they were then able to present to director and renowned choreographer Francis Demarteau (performer in Holiday on ice, Le Lido, ...). Impressed by their number, Demarteau hired the pair to understudy the current adagio couple. Their first performance was a hit!

Since their initial success, the pair's passion and dedication for their art has resulted in an exciting career and they now perform at one of the world's most prestigious Cabarets venues, "Le Lido de Paris".

Always motivated to explore and develop their art, Solenne and Maxime encourage proposals of any description. they love a challenge so please don't hesitate to contact them if you have a project to discuss.
